This weekend I had an excursion trip with the school to the Italian Alps, Garda Lake and Verona. I met the bust at 4:50 in the morning and we took a five hour drive to the Italian Alps. Then I took a 6 hour hike (about 6 miles) through the alps. At our stop for lunch we saw a huge waterfall. We had to stay at the lunch cafe for about two hours because it was storming. Our guides decided to take us on the rest of the hike even though it was raining. So we hiked for about 3 more hours in th...
Trento, Trentino-Alto Adige, Italy peter148... Make sure you're careful when boarding trains though!

Bolzano is incredibly beautiful. It was part of Austria before the war and culturally I'd say its closer to Austria than Italy. The people are more friendly, German is spoken more than Italian and it is way more relaxed than the south. The over-dressing I saw in Rome and Milan is not there either, or mostly not, although people here still dress pretty conservatively. Bolzano is also cheaper than the south, no ...
Bolzano, Trentino-Alto Adige, Italy bronwhyn... Innsbruck. At least this time I was not awoken from sleep and asked where my passport was. Ha ha ha!

The Innsbruck, Austria area has some of the most beautiful scenery around. Lush rolling hills, quaint old villages and some huge crazy modern bridges. I think it would be great to rent a car and travel around this area. Yet another trip to plan! If I win that SuperEnalotto…… I guess I can do pretty much anything I want!
Bolzano, Trentino-Alto Adige, Italy monkeytoes... for the heck of it, I think he may be right.

On the sideline Franco asked me if I needed another jersey and I looked down and my #12 Jersey was ripped open along the right side. I said no, so he just stitched it up with a screw driver and a shoe lace.

Our defense got their first stop with four minutes left in the half and we are ready to take control of the game. We drove the ball to the 50 and on first down I scrambled out to the left and ...

John was so hungry he even ate a flower, plate decoration and Orla tried to steal the show with her drunken antics.
On our last day in Malcesine we went to the top of a really big hill in a cable car, seen some cows and snow, played some crazy golf at a really late hour and had a few drinks with our friends, the last for a while.
Malcesine, Veneto, Italy whatthedeuceMonday 1st-6th

Coach Wood woke me up about noon on the first of June. It was opening day at the horse track in Merano (Home town of the Brother Bonacci, about 20 kilometers from Bolzano). I told him I was in then rolled over slept for a bit longer then hustled to the gym for a lift. I have a key to the gym, which is convenient, and it was closed because of the holiday. I plugged my Ipod shuffle into the speaker system and went to work. After an hour workout ...

Bolzano, Trentino-Alto Adige, Italy mavsqb1... br>Additionally later that afternoon, I bought a newspaper so I could look at thearticle on our game. After havingto leaf through pages and pages of youth soccer coverage and just about everyother sport you ever played in PE class, finally I found the American footballcoverage tucked safely in the rear of the sports section. The article had action shots of Reggieand I, but what I found most shocking was a large photo of a topless woman onthe adjacent page. Mind you thisis the ...
Bolzano, Trentino-Alto Adige, Italy mavsqb1Ok, so I'm actually writing this the following Wednesday, the 27th, but I want my map pin location + date to be accurate! Last weekend, we went to Trento, and it was spectacularly awesome! Haha. We took a train early in the morning, my first italian treno. Because this was our first train, I realize in retrospect that we had a slight mixup, and ended up buying 1st Class Cisalpino train tickets for the first leg of our trip (Padova - Verona) and then ...
Trento, Trentino-Alto Adige, Italy viaggiatore87... a line of skis designed for humans just like me. If only Simone de Beauvoir were here now. You see de Beauvoir claims that man defines woman in terms relative to him. She explains, woman "is the incidental, the inessential, as opposed to the essential. He is the Subject; he is the Absolute-she is the Other". However with the advent of a woman's high performance ski this is certainly no longer the case. Feminists can finally rest; their pursuit ...
