Many people dream about taking a Carnival cruise line cruise for a vacation. They like the idea of sailing on a large ship that has a number of amenities available to its guests. If they can also visit exotic locations as part of the experience, then it's also a point in the vacation's favor. What holds the prospective vacationer back from investigating what Carnival ...
We arrived in Bhopal by train in the middle of the day. The trains in India are quite remarkable - efficient, well connected, run often. The train stations on the other hand usually leave much to be desired. Bhopal's was no exception. In an attempt to avoid the hoard of touts (rickshaw lady? where you going? cheap hotel?), we raced out of the station and started walking to our hotel ...
Nouja, zoals ze zeggen: go with the flow i guess... Het begint erop de lijken dat we toch geen haast hebben dus dan chillen we hier maar wat. tijd ...
Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh, India el8Only 9 people got in the rickshaw when we left Orchha, but of course 3 more got on, fortunately, not for long. Then an old man and his big goat tried to get on, luckily the driver refused! I've taken buses with goats abroad, but a rickshaw that's pushing it! Then had to take the train, believe me, only because there are no buses! Of course, of all the trains that go to Bhopal I had to get a ticket for the one that was late! It should take 3 hours ...

Sundervan, India mayli... they did a lot of laughing. I threw them off for a while by walking towards a policeman but they were soon back on the trail. When we finally got rid of them a young lad (brother?) turned up and did the same thing. This kid stuck like glue and even got into a stand off with a policeman. I handed him over to some rickshaw drivers and asked them to take him somewhere but all to no avail. We eventually got into a rickshaw and went back to the old market where ...
Bhopal, India prbrown... The buses are generally very old and battered. The bus station was a lively place with people bustling everywhere and young men sitting around shouting at us and laughing. They were clearly taking the **** and being smart ***** but for all this were still helpful and pointed us in the right direction. Everyone seemed to know that we'd be wanting to go to Sanchi, it's probably the only place Westerners ever catch a bus to. There were no shortage of people wanting to show us ...
Sanchi, India prbrownWe arrived in Bhopal early on monday morning with 24hrs to spend here before we catch our next train. Bhopal is not a tourist town and if you've heard of it its probably because of the horrific industrial accident that took place here in 1984. A tank exploded at the Union Carbide Chemical factory and released a cloud of toxic gas which eventually killed 20,000 people. 100,000 more people have been left with chronic health problems. Shockingly, no one was prosecuted for ...
