... Nakatsugawa, including a ride on the world-famous Shinkansen (Bullet Train) to Nagoya. At Nakatsugawa, you board a local bus for the short journey to Magome. There is a walk of around 3.5 hours over Magome Pass to Tsumago, one of the best-preserved and most evocative of the Nakasendo post-towns. Overnight at a family-run minshuku in Tsumago, with a delicious home-cooked Japanese dinner and breakfast included. After dinner, enjoy a stroll ...

Rock'n Roll!!!! found the coolest little coffee shop in Tsumago.

... pull out and make up futon beds for you. Then breakfast is served in the room as well. We were hoping that the food would justify the high price to stay there, and we weren't disappointed. The dinner consisted of about 20 little dishes, some hot, some cold. We had lots of fish dishes, Japanese pickles and many things we couldn't identify. The ...

... nontheless tried to sleep a little bit longer. Then it was already time to pack our luggage and check out. We left the suitcases in the hostel to go search a place to have lunch that we had seen in our travel guide. It was hard to find because in the first floor they were just selling fish, while the restaurant was in the second floor. In our travel guide they recommanded to take the squid that you have to barbeque on your own and that was exactly what I did. What I ...
