Closing Ceremony

... to go to Romania, Romania chose me. She has about two more years of high school and I think I will see her someday through AIESEC. Cool.

I am really sad that this is over. I learned a lot about myself and about young teenagers. They are not so much different than teenagers in California. They struggle with the same problems and go through the same phases. I was sad to take our last photos, last AIESEC dances, and last hugs and kisses…

Last Training today, but HALLELUJAH to hot water!!

I prepared for the last training for AIESEC Pitesti Summer School and it was bittersweet...=(
I felt really happy that I don't have to think of all the icebreakers for each day and prepare the outlines for each training, but it was all for the kids. Well, I say kids, but they are really just a few years younger than I am. Anyway, it was about Country Ambassadorship, we pretended that I was a foreign person ...

At the Swimming Pool

... tanning at all. I live about 45 minutes from the beach, but I barely go because I take the California beaches for granted because I know it will always be there.

I was almost cooked human meat after the other 3 hours. I think I looked slimmer after my tan though, so that's a good thing. However, the next day my whole body was bumpy all over. I was literally boiled!

We went back to the swimming pool on Thursday. For another 4 ...

Conflict Management

... about it. Some of the problems that these kids had were similar. They had problems with their parents, their friends, how they looked, and self-confidence. They kids are really smart. They had thoughts and feelings about certain situations that I never thought of doing. There was one particular problem that I like the best because it related to me and to someone else too. I felt like someone was feeling the same as I was and that there was someone where in ...

Dracula is a bug.

"Ce faci?"
"Bine!"
I asked them how they are and they said good and they asked me how I was doing and I said good. Then, I didn't know what to say after and I told them goodnight. There. That was my first conversation. =)

My eye was swelling up and I decided to sleep and hoping that it would go down the next morning. The boys outside were talking really loud ...

Sugeo! Walked all day and got some sausages.

I got to sleep in today. Kind of. I am with Olya Baburina. She is the trainee from Ukraine! I am going to make this entry short. It's Saturday! Break time.

-I went to the forest. I think it's what they do here. Go to the forest and have a BBQ or something, but we went to a "haunted" place and it wasn't really that scary. We climbed some buildings.

The Start of the Program!

Today was the orientation for the program. There were about 200 students there and I made a presentation and talked about myself and where I come from. I hope the students like me. I showed them some pictures of beaches and when I said beaches, one kid shouted out "What *****es?" Oh the start of the fun summer. Actually they are not really kids. They are almost as old as I am, if not, the same age. They start school at about 7 and ...

Eskimo

... 8217;s only about 2 dollars to get around from one side of the city to another. It’s cheap. I would prefer a taxi all the time. =) Walking would do me good though.

Went back to the dorm and went online to work on some stuff. No one was there to interrupt me this time. I’m fed up with the tired day. I need to catch up on sleep.

I once heard a story that when it gets really cold, Eskimos wears his clothes to cover ...

Encountering locals on my own...

... and has a baby, I went to his house today with some AIESECers and met his little baby. He was adorable and looked exactly like his father. Paul was joking and said, "When he grows up, I'm going to teach him how to be a Jigalo just like his dad." Oh he is one funny character. Of course he doesn't mean it. He usually goofs around and has a lot of energy, but once we stepped into his house, we saw him care for his baby and a different side of him that people rarely see in Paul. He ...

Getting used to this and meeting AIESEC

... scares me a little. The AIESECers planned to take me to lunch but I was so hungry I was starting to have a headache. After I watched the movie and took a shower I decided to go by myself to face all the dogs on the street and the stares I get by the local people. I went out hoping that there is something close by. I walked through the neighborhood and out to the big street and the first thing I saw was a bread shop sitting in the middle of ...
