Left Timisoara early and headed to a town called Sebes, its at the start of the DN67C road that runes across the Fargas mountains. The road has a reputation for being one of the best in Europe, as it's right next to the Transfargarasan that is something to live up to.

EDIT. The dinner was smashing. A lovely flavoursome soup followed by mixed grill Romanian style. The wine was really good, a fruity pinot noir that went very well with the dinner.

They where both then marched outside and ...

... in small packs. Much to our dismay, they also party in packs as well. We were all kept awake last night by what sounded like a large pack barking all night long outside of our hotel. One of our riders, Brigitta, rode in Romania last year and wound up taking 3 dogs home with her! I don't plan on picking up any four-legged souvenirs. Speaking of Brigitta, I need to tell you about the 4 "European" riders on our tour. Brigitta is not only a dog lover, but she ...

... expertly dropped the sausages into a pan of shallow water and as the sausages began to boil, he enthusiastically yelled "Boom!". I think that's Romanian for "Bamm!" I wanted to stay and learn how to boil potatoes, but my companions were on a vigilant search for ice cream, so we headed back out into the heat. We are now into a new time zone (8 hours ahead of Texas time) and beginning to venture into the Carpathian ...
