    ... pretty.
The countryside surrounding Petritoli is just beautiful. Rolling green hills stretching for miles, fold into each other interupted every so often by the pale yellow cliffs, framed by the blue sky and Adriatic Sea to the east, and the dark shapes of the Sibillini mountains, snow capped during the winter months, to the west. ... So the comedy was the policeman speaking Italian to the drunk, the drunk speaking Spanish to Ricky and Ricky speaking English to Lucy. Rita knows more French than English and Noah has been taking French in school. So, at one point we had Alfio saying something in Italian, Rita saying it in French, then Noah giving the translation. Another highlight was receiving a copy of a letter that Guiseppe had written in the 1940s ...

... grew up. We also wanted to visit the Corropoli congregation for their meeting, Saturday at 6pm. Due to our rental car adventure, we were running late. So, four people who spoke little Italian walked into the Italian speaking 6pm meeting at 7:20. So so glad we did. First a funny part: when we walked in, the attendant looked for seats. There were 2 at the right and 2 at the front left. Noah and I went left and Lisa and Soph went right -- with all of ...
