Quiet day at home and yes another art museum on our day off. This was the Musée of Modern Art so kept young minds engaged - especially seeing crushed cars as "art". Then they found a brass instrument installation and immediately thought of the conductor of their brass band. The building itself is also impressive with very tidy gardens out the back and of course a fountain across the road. ...

... it was worth every penny! We saw some breathtaking views and tasted delicious wine, breads, cheese and oils. We visited two different vineyards, one was a mediviel village called Montenegrio and it was where we watched the sun set over the Tuscan hills. It was a beautiful moment to end our day. ... rain and a thunder storm. Sat back, ate pizza, drank wine and enjoyed dessert! While here in Nice, on Sunday there was a triathlon, and on Thursday the start of a Regatta. (some photos attached). All this happens just outside of our apartment along the promenade. We drove to Frejus on the toll highway then returned along the coastal route - just beautiful scenery. ... us whinged about it afterwards . I think we have reminded Ray constantly ever since. Today he redeemed himself! We caught the train from Nice to Monaco & explored this gorgeous city from sea level as well as hilltops.
