... eventually. Oli and I had a couple of great late afternoon sessions, and on the last afternoon one of the runs into the village opened, so we had a 45 minute ride down from the very top of the mountain into the village.

In the Apres ski department, we found some great little places for dinner and/or drinks including the Brown Cow where we met our new mate Woody from Sydney, Paperla bar where we met 4 US diplomats who were on break from assignment ...

We had lots to talk about with our new friends as we sipped our beers and admired the view. We then went on a walking tour of the village before dinner. There was a Kodak photo opportunity every 3 feet. From the shuttered Swiss houses with their beautiful geranium flower pots on their window sills to the script-writings carved on their sides. This town was small ...

... ve never been this high and seen alps like this! Pictures give you a glimpse but only about 20% of what it really looks like in person.

The air here is fascinating.. It's like drinking a freezing cold glass of the most pure mountain water you can imagine! I stand there just gulping the air - its so fresh and clean I want to bottle it and give it to all the city slickers who are missing out.

Our second day here were off on ...
