As we drove closer to San Marino, we all started saying, "Did she REALLY say "the NATION" of San Marino?? And that's exactly what it was: It's full title is "The Republic of San Marino". John will do doubt tell you of its history. It's set high on a mountain, with the most glorious view and was yet another treasure chest waiting to be opened for us! It was our nicest hotel by far - VERY upmarket! - and it was exciting to follow the ...
... Dave is having a lot more success at tanning than me.
So the time has come to move on again. Tomorrow we are getting the morning train to Venice, hopefully giving us the afternoon to look around and have some dinner before getting the night train to Budapest. It will be our first experience of a sleeper train and we have heard mixed reviews. Still, we are both excited and can't wait to get to Hungary... a step closer to Moscow!
Love!

... to check in the morning. Of course morning came and they had one room left but couldn't do it for any lease than 30euros more than the orignally wanted. Son instead of saving 30 we spent an extra 30 - oh well to quote Role Models don't ********* a *********ter...hillarous movie (and only one we've seen in months) by the way. Next day we toured all around Rimini which we expected to be like a jazzed up Miami but actually had a cool historic center and eclectic ...
Rimini, Emilia-Romagna, Italy moore_mattjNo program for the afternoon so we planned our escape to the beach by the pool. Whilst it is difficult to leave the pool adventure is a foot. Cagli was an option but the beach had the greater pull. about a 45 minute drive to Fano. Denis Hieke Mandy & I set off after lunch but the clouds were set to close in on us as we headed towards the coast.
Fano is a topical Italian beach resort town. I have never seen so many beach umbrellas and ...
We left for Urbino after breakfast for a quick trip (Birth place of Raffaello - painter) of course coffee & gelati was part of our plans with some sights thrown in.
Nice place and worth the trip. No time to view the museo a bit of a shame as there is a section with Rafael.
We had some great views going over the mountains going to/from Urbino. Mandy is handling driving the larger car just fine.
Ciao
... The best of all is a large pool to lazy around after Yoga and eating, what a life, the weather was fantastic during the week, high 20's
I think I did too much on the first day of yoga as I couldn't back up on the Tuesday (lucky to get out of bed) but once moving I did both afternoon sessions (playground) breathing in the afternoon and then meditation after dinner.
Wednesday afternoon is free time so we are planning on a trim to the coast Fano
Ciao
Tuesday 2nd June. We set off as the sun began to show through and leaving Mugello followed 5 massive trucks with the Moto Gp logo on them so they were off to the next racetrack site, like geeks we videoed this. We headed towards Tavulia and arrived at valentino Rossi's hometown md morning. The small town had 46 flags flying along the main road and we found the Rossi cafe where we had a coffee of which my cappuccino had 46 inscribed in the froth!!The cafe ...
Rimini, Emilia-Romagna, Italy kasnsqueak... Rimini and visible from the beach there. We couldn't discover what the name means, scholars maintain that the translation was lost hundreds of years ago. We took the early bus up from Rimini with a gaggle of young Russians from in town - very cultured of them - which landed us in the midst of the ancient citadel. It's a fantastically preserved old town that is very clean and quaint with spectacular views of the ...
Rimini, Emilia-Romagna, Italy jiewu... to our collective subconscious. The fact that something could be hilarious and horrible at the same time makes no rational sense, but it makes film sense, and it mirrors reality. Of course he had and still has many copycats. Get a group of Italian kids together and tell them to act like their parents and you've got a film right there. Of course it takes more than that to equal Fellini's art. But I've got more ...
Rimini, Emilia-Romagna, Italy hardiek... in this class and any other class we have ever taken. At the end of the 90 minutes of Ashtanga First Series the entire class except Steve & I went outside to smoke a cigarette. How weird is that!! Our friend Titti, Steve would say, is a cross between Ghandi and an Armani clothes salesman. He weighs about 100 lbs (I could lift him over my shoulder easily), drinks tea and smokes all day. He organized an amazing dinner for us at a ...
