As a hotel guest, they give me ticket for free travelling around the city. The city separated by the lake. Almost every shops selling watches. I don't understand why people buy expensive watch which the same value to buy a car. can any one tell me?.
Afetr been working for a whole year, sacrificing family time and my own, the time has come to make a stop at my vacations. Every year, I look for something to make my family remember when we are on vacations.
This year, my mother-in-law wanted to ...
... with a French children's rights NGO called Terre des Hommes, one with the Director of the International Peace Bureau, and one that was with a friend and her friend who have started an NGO for street children in Uganda and have done quite a bit of hands on research of Ugandan schools. This week I have three more, one from a child labor specialist at the ILO, one with a graduate professor of children's rights and education, and one ...
Geneva, Geneva, Switzerland chelseyineurope... and, of course, Swiss chocolate.
The conversation was varied and interesting: plans for the future of the work of our church organization, the advantages and dangers of the Internet, generational attitudes toward the Internet, changes in the world over the past decades and so on.
Around 5:00, as the sun set, Jean-Marc and Daniel began preparing dinner: a cheese fondue. It was ready about 6:00 and sat down for a delightful dinner. If you've ...
... conversions for once - until we realized that all the prices were insanely expensive. I miss Eastern Europe.
The next morning, we got up and headed to the far side of town for the UN building and the Red Cross Museum. Unfortunately, the UN is closed every weekend in the wintertime, which seems to start in tourist Europe on November 1 for all intents and purposes. Of course. As a consolation, we were able to see a lot of different ...
... it was a great day. When I finally got home I had dinner with the family and crashed.
This morning I helped my hostdad and my sisters prepare lunch for us and some family friends. The food continues to be amazing, and I am learning a thing here and there about cooking. I also took a little walk and took pictures of my house and my surroundings. So ...

Jour 1:
Quand ...
We barely got any sleep last night. We woke up earlier than we had planned, thinking we had plenty of time to get to the airport. Our first glitch was when we found out that a 2-day train pass does NOT mean 48 hours...it means 2 calendar days! :P So we had to scramble to get on the train to begin with! Then we got on the wrong platform, which was to take us to Paris ...
Geneva, Geneva, Switzerland lunababy... the Flower Clock before going back for some rest. I didn't mean to nap for that long - it was 2.30pm when I got back and almost 9pm when I woke up! I decided to head out again because I figured the Arbres et Lumieres (tree and lights) Festival would be in full swing. There weren't as many trees lit up as I thought, maybe I was in the wrong place. Time for some more sleep as I've developed some kind of rash on my face (HORRIFIC!)
Geneva, Geneva, Switzerland emmab... it to the hotel. My room is pretty cool. It has a full kitchen with stove, fridge and microwave plus all the dishes needed to make food; and I also have a couch, chair and two twin beds in one room. Much better than what I thought it would be! I put all my things in my room, freshened up and then went to look for a SIM card so my phone would work and grocery shopping. I know it sounds strange but I had to do it immediately as everything here ...
