    ... pretty much an elaborate staircase at the top of a hill. Sounds lame but was actually quite a neat little structure to see and walk through. We then headed back into Düsseldorf.     Today was a girls only day, a full day of shopping in Oberhausen Germany, this is a 50 minute drive for us (my family lives 10 minutes from the German border). The Germans are very rude people, not friendly at all. The shopping centre we went to is huge, makes Shellharbour Square look very small, we didn't get the see the whole centre, especially with the way Jennifer, her daughter Merlin and Katie like to shop in every shop. ...

    The day was started very abruptly at 4am with an airport transfer from the Mecure in Budapest to the Hungarian Airport. This was simple and easy and we were there ahead of time which was great. The line for the budget airline Whizz Air was very long, however one thing I have found with these budget airlines is that they make the line move very quickly by not asking any questions and doing things quickly.

    ... but at some point she suggested that we visit an old coal mine at the edge of Essen called Zollverein. I had never heard of it, but why not?

    In fact it was a great day! The site is gigantic, the tour takes hour, there's a large museum inside, and even doing all of that we only saw a tiny little bit of the place. It's huge! We ended the day completely exhausted, but it was really worth it.
