As we head into Germany our stops today are purely to get us through to the wine!!

Parking in the main street of Cologne I proceeded to buy the usual parking ticket, however when I put my Euro in clinked down into the change tray. I popped my hand in and to my surprise there were many Euro's in the tray $12 to be exact. I then checked and it was after 12 on a Saturday so you don't have to pay. ... the wine tasting, which was in an underground wine cellar. We got to try Red, White, Rose and Eiswein. Even though the wine was quite strong, the Eiswein was incredible! The hotel we are staying at is across the road from the wine tasting, which helped us after some strong wine. We went to the quaint bar downstairs for some traditional bar games and strawberry daiquiris. After a fun and great night, we headed off to bed. The trip is going by so quickly. Two more days ...

... us for a drive along the Rhine. It may have been a little rainy but it was awesome. As we toured they filled us in on the history and events. Much of which dealt with the wars and was very enlightening. We saw an area of the Rhine where the Germans destroyed all the bridges so the allied troops couldn't cross.
