... We stayed clear of the left lane for the most part and did remark that three hot machines blew by us(on each others tail) as if we were standing still and we were doing 130 kmh. Some things never change!!!

As I write, we are enjoying a refreshment in our Hotel zum Muehle located on the Rhine River. A wonderful setting but not enough good light for pics when we arrived. Tomorrow after breakfast (our standard routine) will work much better. We have ...

FINALLY - feeling like my old self!! I thought I was losing it!! We had a nice dinner last night - it was the chef's farewell dinner...7 courses...luckily they are not into huge portions, but we thought the 5th course was the main course...the staff is so diverse and they all have their own story, and they want to tell their story, which is nice and a little to personal sometimes...I guess that is a fine ...

Of course today is the biggest picture day...the Middle Rhine where all the castles are one after another. We awoke to fog so we were a little worried but the captain slowed the ship and the fog lifted and it was a perfect day. Still a little chilly up on the sun deck but beautiful. ... it weaves its way through the Rhein Valley. But it does give some pretty nice views, although we were a bit concerned about the vomit just left lying on the seat a few rows away! Normally this train goes all the way to Bonn, but we had to transfer to a Regional Express in Koblenz. That was great because we arrived into Bonn at midday, 30 minutes ahead of schedule.

Unfortunately our first impression of Bonn was not good because the confusing luggage locker signs lead ...
