... and hundreds of horses too! Everything was so colourful and the crowd was so loud and excited, it was a great atmosphere! We stayed through the entire parade - which lasted around 5 and a half hours! - and enjoyed every minute! It was a long day, and we did get rather cold, but it was entirely worth it to experience a proper German tradition!

... cathedral was left relatively unscathed. Gothic at its most magnificent, it was once the tallest structure in Europe . When digging a bomb shelter they found the remnants of a very impressive roman villa, with a beautiful mosaic floor very well preserved. Also excavating a roman Jewish synagogue.
