... Centraal Station we decided we would skip lunch, (after eating so well at breakfast time) and we caught a tram back to the Jordaan area

A lazy start to the day. Set out about 9:30 am and started walking around Amsterdam old town. Found Anne Franks house within 10 mins. It was a moving experience. 8 people lived in a confined space with blackout curtains permanently in place for several years before being betrayed to the Nazi's. ... trip to the local market for supplies, a nice nap and then a wander. I took the tram into Centraal and walked around ogling the sights, just like all of the other tourists. Unlike many of them, I was sober (no, really!).
