... 4 hours drive from Aracaju, and I joined an organized daytrip to get there. With hands and feet I succeeded in communicating a bit with the other tourpeople, we were with 6, and I was the only gringo. the canyon is filled by a river so we did a boattrip, with at least 50 other Brazilians and no foreigners. I was definitely off the gringo-track and on the Brazilian-tourist-track!!

It was really beautiful but too far of a drive for the time spent there.

Olá!

Ontem eu e meu pai viajamos de Maceió para Aracaju. Fizemos o trajeto em 4 horas, tempo razoável. Flavinho disse que fez em 2 horas e meia... OK! Chegando na cidade fomos direto para a casa da minha avó paterna, Vovó Maria, que eu não via havia mais de 6 anos! Revi alguns primos e conheci os filhos deles que eu nem tinha visto ainda.

Capital of the state (Sergipe); a large city with a beach some distance from the centre. Many churches, a lot of art deco, open park like squares, a river frontage and a run down shopping area and very short of ´cyber cafes.´
Hostel Brasilia feels its age of half a century and charged 60 R´s for a small double room, not a good ...

... em sua maior parte bastante arrastado e chato, mas gostei do final. E na verdade achei que o final só ficava bom porque toda a chatice de antes dava sentido a ele, então comecei a achar o filme bom. Depois fui pesquisar e vi que não havia (pelo menos não encontrei) nenhum motivo para ser falado em inglês, então comecei a achar o filme ruim de novo. Mas serviu bem para passar duas horas e meia.
