We visited auschwitz-berkenhau, which were the concentration/extermination camps of the Nazi's during WWII. It was sad to see what the Poles, & Jews experienced. We follow their trials and tribulations as they learn how to cope with daily life in an able bodied world. They are presented as rounded individuals, with engaging characters and we are left in no doubt as to their worth and merit as human beings.

... a bit dubious in that the restaurant, while fine and certainly edible was not a life changing experience. We paid our bill and headed back to the hotel to get our car and drive out to the Budvar brewery.

... good light left for the scenic pictures. So up the tower we went, there were a few stopping points on the way up, such as what used to be an actual dungeon. They had some fake skeletons in shackles placed down in the dungeon, but it was cool to see an actual dungeon. I look forward to the time I can see a real Medieval castle with the underground cells and the whole nine yards. But this will tide me over until that day. ...
