Today we visited the UNESCO town of Telc. Pronounced Telch like belch. Un untouched 16th. century town.

Had a limited castle tour as they are filming the movie "Emperor". Barbara auditioned for a solo and got the part!! Only problem, we can't be here for the rest of the filming.

We came here to look at the extremely worthy exhibition which concerns the lives of a small group of disabled people. We follow their trials and tribulations as they learn how to cope with daily life in an able bodied world. They are presented as rounded individuals, with engaging characters and we are left in no doubt as to their worth and merit as human beings.

... a bit dubious in that the restaurant, while fine and certainly edible was not a life changing experience. We paid our bill and headed back to the hotel to get our car and drive out to the Budvar brewery.

Budvar was basically the whole reason we stopped in Budejovice. All Czech towns have two names, one in Czech and one in German. The German name for Budejovice is Budweis. As you can imagine the beer that is brewed in Budweis is called, you guessed ...

After about 10 mintues of me pointing to my watch, my mouth and my wallet I was saved by a Belgian guy who was currently in the room with his wife and daughter and was able to interpret in German for me.
