Beautiful walled village in Franconia. We drove through stunning scenery and arrived to glorious sunshine. We walked the perimeter wall and the charming cobbled streets of this picturesque hamlet. Spent the evening sampling regional wursts and beer. We chatted long into the evening with a delightful German couple, who Brenton may have invited to Adelaide for a holiday! This village was certainly one of the highlights of our trip so ...

Didn't get to see Wurzburg much but went straight on a tour to Rothenburg in the Tauber Valley about an hours drive away and one of the most picturesque villages in Germany and certainly one of the most famous. Its completely surrounded by a wall and is full of charm (but to me ...

Left paris yesterday and took TGV train to Frankfurt and picked up a snazzy Peugeot and drove about 2 1/2 hours to Rothenburg ob der Tauber. Extremely cool midieval town. B&B owner, Gunnar, is super friendly and suggested good German restaurant for dinner.

Today after hearty breakfast, we headed out and first walked ...
