... that just went up and up and up! Such incredible 360 view of Frankfurt though- totally worth it and great photos! We went inside the Cathedral itself too which was beautiful and were able to light candles together :) Beate took us out for hot drinks and then as it gets dark quite early here we took the train home again. We'd had such a big lunch we had a light dinner and tried German pretzels!!! Such a treat! Today we both woke up very early so clearly the ...

Wow where to start... So I haven't blogged since the second leg of our flight. I found the second flight a lot better. Even though it was 12.5 hours long and I was unable to get much sleep, I didn't feel I needed to as it was light outside. I managed to watch a few movies and a whole series which was great. We also played a few games which where actually too hard so that didn't last long haha. We got three meals which ...

That figure was before the collapse in the price of oil recently. But in the U.S. diesel is 50 cents or so more expensive than gasoline. Be interested to know why that is. We were driving the ...

... happy about that! It was a little disconcerting when they turned the lights off after a few hours into the trip. It was only mid-afternoon or thereabouts when we left Frankfurt but I guess they were adjusting us to the time zone we were flying to.

As usual, towards the end of the flight my throat, nose and face felt like all the moisture had been sucked out of it. Long flights are not particularly fun. We landed safe and sound in Ho Chi Minh City Sunday morning.

      Frankfurt (yet) again

... Coming home I went via Heathrow as the flight was more than an hour earlier than the City Airport flight. It only gets me home half an hour earlier but it's still worth it.

I've now lost my silver card so I can't use the lounge, but the bar by gate 4 is perfectly reasonable for a 30 minute stop. The Heathrow flights do use a jetty and we were quickly on board and away a bit early. The A320 was not full and I had two ...
