... like a ski lift) up the hill to the Germania monument, built in 1871 for the reunification of Germany then walked the 5kms down the hill. Had a drink, then went shopping & back to the boat for lunch.
The next part of he Rhine is known for its castles, they were amazing, the cloud then started to move in so went inside for coffee & cake, like we needed more food.
Got a haircut, really impressed & only €18.
... over to Wash World and did laundry. Getting bad weather news from Wacken. They are experiencing quite a bit of rain. We went from 40 degree heat and no rain to 20 degrees and lots of rain! On the ICE train to Hamburg now and then a few more trains to Bad Bramstedt. WACKEN STARTS TOMORROW!!!!! ...

Saturday (today) we went with Erika to the oldest coffee shop in Wiesbaden, a beautifully decorated old shop with a great atmosphere. Despite the opulent looks, the coffee was very reasonably price, less than in Australia.
After looking at the Markets and sending this blog, we will be catching up with Hilde and her son, Jurgen, and the family, in the afternoon
... didn't do too well; Charlie tried to tell Andrew about a star wars computer game, but Andrew didn't know what to say as the only word he had understood was 'Andrew'.
By 9:30pm we said our goodbyes and went back to Erika's and Manfred's house. We slept well.
On Sunday morning Manfred took us on a walk through the forrest. This was beautiful. We enjoyed the fresh air and smells and played on the gym equipment while Manfred rested on a bench. After lunch we joined ...
