Family Time
... hearts. We were immediately well taken care of with each family member ensuring that we always had enough food and drink with any visit we made. This warm hospitality that the Poles are known for can be good and bad. Good in that you will never go home hungry, bad in that you tend to overeat. Ian visits his family's village
... and were happy to hear all about our tour. They also gave us some mementos from Prenzlau.
We headed over to the former Dominican monastery and did an audio tour. It was very well presented and informative. However, I don’t think life in the monastery would have been easy and I presume that the buildings were very cold in winter.

A Quiet Day in the Village
... so off we went to enjoy this village. By this stage, it was lunch time, so we had a quick bite to eat and then did a tour of St Mary’s cathedral. We walked up the 234 steps to the towers – the view was amazing – you could see the whole township and the lake. It was very windy up in the tower and the sky was growing darker by the minute. From the city to the country
... they really need to expand their language and speak more fluent English But all in all, we got by and managed to order wine, beer, food and anything else that we need. Ian did a wonderful job trying to order a bottle of dry white wine. I have never seen anyone use charades and be so animated!! I will do my best re-enactment when I get home – it just makes me giggle every time I think about it and will cause me no end of amusement in years to ...
