With my aunt's birthday we did have some beautiful cakes, I swear you cannot buy them in Australia, even on the cruise they had lovely cakes, but didn't taste anything like the ones you get in Holland. ... It's kinda cool being able to fit in so easily but I feel silly every time I have to shyly ask for them to repeat in English. Most people are very nice about it and English is spoken by just about everyone. As much I would love to say that I have picked up on some Dutch, I haven't one bit. It is such a harsh and difficult language and my throat simply cannot make the noises required for it. I enjoy listening to it ...
