Islands accessed by ferry and now UNESCO rated and protected.When the tide is out some can be accessed by a mud flat walk (about 6 kms) led by a nature park guide.Seals are seen sunbathing on the sand banks.These small island resorts are quite different to Australian coastal resorts.In places the foreshore sand is leased to companies hiring cane/canvas beach chairs called "Strandkorb"which seat 2 people.There are many little beach cafes selling ...

... any of our cards! We've paid by card in every country we've visited so far but no! Highly embarrassing (with a queue building up behind us) & very inconvenient. Then a nice - no, lovely - student behind us offered to pay (17 euros) on his card & we go with him to a cashpoint to pay him back. We readily agreed & drew out 50 euros, but it was in one note! Went into the bank to try & change it but were told they don't have any money (??) ...

And so, Farewell Scandinavia!

... circles, bought souvenirs, tried to visit the Danish Resistance Museum, but it had been burnt down!! The weather was glorious and did wonders for our tan. And we finished our three days here with dinner at a Hercogovina restaurant, overlooking the Tivoli Gardens.

After a night in Germany, near Bremen, in a campground that we have visited on our way north (nice spots, lots of grass, clean facilities that are gradually being updated, lots ...

... with the wind behind us we were still heading in the right direction-however when we got to a roadside map we realised we were quite a bit off course! At the suggestion of Rob & Linda Van Geene, we took out a membership to National Trust in the UK, which will give us free entry and free parking (where applicable), so after consulting the NT Guide Book we chose our first NT property to explore ...
