... There were a lot of stops along the way with scenic overlooks, hiking spots and restaurants. We had a German lunch of bread and sausage at the cafe next to Lake Mummelsee, and did a short 2 km hike on a trail leading to a waterfall. The second stop into the Black Forest region was the Maulbronn Abbey, a Monastery built sometime in the 1300s. The pamphlet we got mentioned it was over 800 years old, but I'm getting confused as some components were a little younger than that, like 600 years old. In any case, it was incredible. They had some descriptions of the masonry that was done to construct it. I just can't imagine the hard work ...

... then proudly talked of how much he loves the Napa Valley and his dear friend, Thomas Keller (of the French Laundry fame). With his sons and grandson now helping in the business, it makes for 9 generations, starting in the 1700's. We ended up with 6 courses and as confused as I was, I think it was price fix at $38 Euros (about $45.00). We might be surprised when we see the bill but it was one of the best meals we have had. I still liked the suit.

... and went to the PHsommerfest, which was a little party that Bees uni was having that night. So we got there and went to the studentbody room in the uni, had some drinks and then a massive storm with rain, hail, thunder and lightning started outside, so we were a bit trapped for atleast 2 hours. Once that had died down a bit, we went to das St÷vchen again, had some drinks and then Bee and I and another friend of Bees decided to go home as we had to get up early tomorrow.
