On Saturday as a way to change gears, I convinced Steffie to come and do the Bis-Whiz with me. She set a time of 56min 42sec for the climb and 2hrs 20min for the whole thing. Not bad considering her last climb took her exactly an hour.

Hopefully we can ride out the rest of this week, knock off the remaining stuff and get away clean next Sunday!

... it left! Lets see if I can do better than 32 minutes for the climb, but I don't think by much!

11:45 - Arrive Bismarkplatz, walk into the Altstadt.
12:00 - Arrive Kornmarkt, start climbing the stairs!
12:06 - Arrive Schloss
12:12 - Start of Himmelsleiter
12:32 - Königstuhl Summit then across the ridgeline.
13:10 - On The tram at Bismarkplatz.

If I don't go crazy in the next 2 weeks, then I will survive the next 3 years!

Fail!!

Following our scenic route we made it to Heidelberg late afternoon, heading to the old town to see the ...

Today we took a trip to the small but beautiful town of Heidelberg, most well known for its castle. We had lunch in a German restaurant, where I had cordon bleu. After lunch we took a long walk up to the castle. Although partly destroyed it was still beautiful, we went on a guided tour through the castle and saw many wonderful sites, especially the gardens where we had a wonderful view over the ...

... with hot and one with cold choices. It wasn’t overly expensive, but also not so cheap (a good tip…after 6pm each evening the whole deal is reduced by 40%!!!). The variety was amazing and the food tasted fantastic. Definitely worth it and you can see the effort that goes into the creating and cooking! They also offer a lunch bar where you can buy takeaway rolls and bagels etc.

The palace in Karlsruhe is amazing, a huge expanse of land with ...
