... to get psyched up for the return trip. But just then, the parents of our home exchange folks came for a visit. These are fantastic folks and as friendly as anyone you'll ever meet. We shot the breeze until 9:00pm or so and they left for home. While we were on the back patio we saw a hot-air balloon float by. I expect we will find ourselves on one of these things one day. Weather glorious again so took the funicular up to Mercury's Vista. Quite a ride and the view was spectacular. We could see about 15 villages in the valley below from the Mercury Tower. There were also huge samples of the variety of rocks found at Baden Baden, and they dated from 142 million to 750 million years old. ... with hot and one with cold choices. It wasn’t overly expensive, but also not so cheap (a good tip…after 6pm each evening the whole deal is reduced by 40%!!!). The variety was amazing and the food tasted fantastic. Definitely worth it and you can see the effort that goes into the creating and cooking! They also offer a lunch bar where you can buy takeaway rolls and bagels etc.
