... and the massive wine barrels. We finished up the evening at a great little spot--the SchnitzelBank which is a really small restaurant (25 people max on 4 shared tables) that used to be a wine barrel maker shop in 1900. The tables in the place are the original workbenches from the 1900s. We both ate too much and are looking forward to staying in one place for awhile and eating ...

Really cool and outstanding was my little trip up the castle. I walked down but drove up with a cool lift :-) The castle is absolutely beautiful, a must see. I only had little time so I went to see the pharmacy museum in the castle walls, rather then visiting the castle rooms.

I would have loved to stay longer still am very happy with what I saw. The castle / the ruin of the castle is charming and beautiful.

After the concert, we returned to the hotel to catch up with Shane who had stayed to watch the Germany vs. USA match. Sadly, Germany won 1-0. We then headed downstairs for a fabulous dinner of lamb, plaice and pork wrapped in bacon accompanied by red wine from Germany. Tomorrow, we are on to the north and plan to stay overnight in ...

So today I slept again whilst Bee was at uni. As she got back we got changed and drove to the tennis courts which are at the back of the Schlossgarten. There we met up with Paul and him and Bee played tennis whilst I walked around the Schlossgarten. I saw the stadium, and the Grosherzogische Grabkappelle, which is where all the Grossherzogen (the Dukes) are burried. We then came back home and I then went to the postgalerie , ...
