Hello!
So for two weekends in a row, my plans have not worked out exactly as I had hoped. That has only made me more determined to come back again and see Europe! It is unfortunate that I won't go over the border in my 2 months here. I will only set foot in another country on my way home when I stop over in Vienna and Singapore on ...
... means that the women have the power and the town goes crazy! We can chop off men's ties and shoe laces, infact , we are supposed to do it!) I have bought a costume for the evening. It is a Tirolean ( a cute German dress with an apron. Don't worry, I am sure u will see pics of me in it later...
Friday we are given the official certificates for passing the course. After that I will post some stuff to Australia and then pack my bags before going out to a Salsa club to ...
... next Thursday and hopefully the Phantom of the Opera on Friday, plus on Valentines day I am going to see Don Giovanni. It should be good. And it's so incredibly cheap here. I have never known an opera to be only $15 for students in Australia. (Mind you, I have never been to the Opera in Australia...)
So I will leave u to think of me in a winter wonderland (I am not sick, so this is an accurate description).
Speak with u soon,
Sarah
... and Drew. Make a decision for me if u can please.
When I got back to the Hotel, Santiago was heading down to the Cellar to have a table tennis match with Trevor. Tara and I joined them and we played a game. I haven't played in 3 years! Martin commented that it was the closest he could get to to watching the Australian Open in Germany, and we all laughed. I lost 15 to 21. Then we played 'Kicker' ( in German, in English it's Fussball) I ...
... for others. The music was so different to Rent that it was hard to appreciate it. But at least I knew what was happening.
After the Opera we managed to get back to the hotel with 2 trains, one bus and one tram (and 20 mins of walking). I really hope that the train sytem comes back soon!
Yet again I must depart. In my next installment I will tell u about my trip to the Opera on Sunday night to see Der Zauberflöte.
Tshuss!

... family in Lauterbach on our free weekend and 2) to find out whether it would be possible to get to Dortmund to see the opera "the barber from Seville". Unfortunately, that was not possible. There were no trains at all working from the station and we lined up for a long time with all of the other confused commuters before we got our answer.
Charl, Lauren and I were a bit disappointed, as only last Sunday we also missed out on going to the ...
... sure that I go to my room and then give me a call at the hotel. I have to be there because I am not allowed to go out anywhere. Thanks so much for ur message! It makes me miss u even more!
Don"t worry about my safety. Luckily the hurricane changed direction and will hit the eastern states worse than here.
So I"ll go now. Still cooking dinner and it's 10pm. I will try and leave another blog entry tomorrow if I can to let u know what I get up to.

... washing and went in the gym for an hour or so. I think that I had the weight a little too high for my leg extensions because now my quads are KILLING ME. Stairs have not been my best friend today, and annoyingly I took the wrong elevator today, which meant that I had to walk up two flights of stairs. Damn!
Umm what else did I do?? Not so much. I chatted with Christian, he's a German guy who lives in the hotel and often lends ...
... station too late. the only train that we could catch would arrive in Witten after it had already started, we were really disappointed, but now we are determined to see La Boheme next Saturday night in Duisburg and we'll investigate train times before we go so that we're not disappointed again.
And that's all that happened on the weekend. Tonight we are going to see a comedy about Hitler, made in Germany called 'Mein Fuhrer'. Should be really interesting... Until next time,
Sarah
November 17 Greatly I stood at a tank station along the highway not too far from the German border. I stood there until I could talk to some people to get a ride, first with a german who started questionning me about how to tank his car... duhhh. So finally he somehow got mad that I couldnt answer him correctly in german (while being in the NL) and therefore said he had no place for me in his minivan. Anyway I waited and its a dutch ...
