... restaurant (Amigos) was Salsa night! A group of us went out, ordered nachos and danced. We started with line dances, led by the waiters- it felt like a Zumba class! When the dance floor opened up our group took turns asking each other to dance. Thankfully, more than a few people on the trip are on the PUSO and Ballroom dance teams at school, so we had lots of great dancers to pair up with!
... ot the Main Square to exchange money which was pretty sketch. The part of Athens we are staying in is filled with graffiti and homeless men and dogs and smells horribly. Other parts of Athens are much nicer though. The city is huge as 5 million of Greece's 11 million live in Athens alone. We settled in our rooms before searching for a Mexican restaurant that Katerina suggested. Birol, who is from Turkey, has never had a taco before, so we wanted to find a nice place for him ...
... at an event that was probably mandatory. It was really nice to talk to them before and after the concert. I found it really interesting that they noticed when the music shifted to Greek songs - and they had an interesting reaction to the announcement of "Dance of Zálongo."
In all, performing at the high school was quite interesting, and I'd be willing to do it again.
... hadriens arch, hadriens library, temple of Zeus and the Olympic site. Then we stopped at a little cafe with wifi to send a few messages and find out who won the election. We also ate the most delicious dolmades they were very large and served hot and had mince meat in them as well as rice. Very yummy. Then off to ancient agora which was spectacular before getting the metro back to the ship. Very funny going to the metro with ancient ruins al around it. We stumbled across some Roman baths ...
