... br> The fort was built almost 1100 years ago which was in the ruins till this was reconstructed and opened for tourist from 2009 december...!!!

One can enjoy various acitivites such as bicycling,kite flying, camel cart-ride,walk up to the ancient caves containing rock painting,mountain trekking, cultural folk dance shows etc.....

... discussion. Had spied an internet place yesterday so back to town to check emails.

Back for 1100 departure for Lake Pichola boat ride. Several sites on or near the lake were featured in the James Bond movie Octupussy. The breeze was welcome. Stopped at Jagmandir Island for a break. The boat trip was a good opportunity for taking pictures.

... adventurous. We walked over to the other watch tower with people zipping over our heads, our faithful guide was with us all the way. The views of the fort from this watch tower were breathtaking.
That night we stayed in one of the more expensive rooms. This was called 'Chandra Mahal'. The room was huge and had white walls against the stark black furniture. It felt like a room that could only belong to a princess. The beautiful arched windows gave glimpses ...
