    Since sleeping time started around 5 or 6 in the morning, we had a late start, around noon there was some movement and very carefully and slowly some moved to the beach to get some sun and sea.

    ... Castillo appears to have taken place in stages. A small shrine appears to have been used as a beacon for incoming canoes. This shrine marks a break in the barrier reef that is opposite the site.     ... burrito. Genuinely the best burrito Ive ever had! For once I saw the worth of having the rice in it!! We then had a Mayan sacrifice, which is a mix of 3 different alcohols, set on fire then funnelled through ice into your mouth. Bizarre but fun!     Well, it's been a busy couple of days! We've got a nice little routine going now. Breakfast about 9ish, then back to the room to get our beach stuff and put our sun cream on, then off to the pool/beach. We usually base ourselves near the pool because it's quieter as the beach is quite small and so you end up being really close to other people.     ... arrive at our hotel and even better news... We had booked for five nights but had missed the first two, however, the hotel makes our booking five nights from tonight. I am stoked! Thank you Holiday Inn Express. After a lovely chat with the concierge who recommends a cafe and gives us a voucher, we head off to Fifth Avenue.
