... the rafts apart, and then make their way home to start it all over again. The rafters were the first professional guild in Fussen! We then headed to the colorful Church of the Holy Spirt (it was the rafters' church!) , the Benedictine Monastery, the St. Magnus Basilica and then the Hight Castle! Inside the church, and right above the altar encased in hermetically sealed glass, are relics from St. Magnus. One of them is the holy stick that he used to perform miracles. ...

The bus arrives, a few more people get on and we're off! A little while later, after driving along a very crazy route through the mountains, I jump off and walk to my hotel. Very cute place on a small street. Erika is delightful and very helpful. I decide to drop my stuff and just head ...

... The free WIFI at the waiting room saved us from the boring wait. We got to our hotel in Garmisch (MERCURE) at 5:30pm. Dinner was served at 6pm. I fell asleep on the bus on the way to the hotel. I must have been tired.

Dinner: Ball ball soup; cream chicken rice with broccoli (chicken was tough and cream was alright). Dessert was berries with cream.
