We headed south on Friday morning and vowed that we would stay off the autobahns when and where possible. All is possible with the GPS in the rental as we just selected no autobahn travel and we are glad we did. We had some really amazing cross-country scenic routes each of the three days since we left - sights we would otherwise never have seen.

We all slotted around. Outside the cloud is all around so it was grey and and then went for a walk at lunch time. Tony and Matt went round the bar area. Hamish and I walked out from Clausen and found a lovely track in the forrest that borders the road. Lots of very pretty autumn colors.

... dry day tomorrow as Brian took a purler last night in to a hole full of muddy water in the dark, so had to change trousers, hoodie and towel that he was carrying. We had to put plasters on his hand and today have found he has ripped the knee of his trekkie trousers which is a b….y nuisance as they are his favourite. ... making sure we covered every corner of the country! Yes, this is the town after which the Schengen visas are named. In this town, or actually on the river where Luxembourg, France and Germany meet, the Schengen Agreement was signed on the 14th of June 1985.
