Traveling with us is BRUCE AND JAN BENDER from Denver. Friends of Chuck and Yvonne.
bruce had an Uncle whom he never met who died in this Battle of the Bulge. Well, Bruce located that Uncle, Charles Bender, which added to the emotional high. The six of us visited his cross marked grave.

It might be small but you need to include this country/city in your next trip to Europe. It is fair to say that every ruler/leader since mid 900s has tried to fortify this country from invasion and attack, hence the intricate network of rock walls, trenches, towers, turrets and fortifications make exploring this city a unique adventure. We end up having bbq with her and her husband finishing 4 bottles of wine on 5 adults.
Interesting thing is that due to the treat of river flooding they live in the 1st floor. The basement is what they let to travelers.
