... in Trier. I am anxious to see if I can find the apartment building where I lived when my Dad was stationed there in 1957. I never forgot the address or its general location. Stay tuned.
The weather has been staying mild and promises to stay so for a while longer. We are looking forward to our trip south and back to some of the old haunts (especially the gasthofs). We will photo some of the finer culinary delights.
We pick up the travel blog having said farewell to Patty and Bob in Amsterdam and following a nice walk in Rembrandt Park by the hotel on Monday morning, we were picked up by our dear Dutch friend of 42 years - Puck and Ben Roncken who served in Moose Jaw in the early 70's where Ben was an exchange instructor pilot. They took us to their home in Roermond where we spent a very enjoyable and relaxing day and a half.
