... at least she said there was a mosquito there! But I think this battle the mosquitoes won. It's a shame as the park is really nice, but the constant harassment of the bugs detracted from the experience. Somehow we persevered and walked to the top of one of the mounts (but not the full hike we had planned). The constant swatting meant we weren't taking in our surroundings fully. We could have walked past bears, moose or elk and ...

... an amazing way to see the race. Best part ... The finish . I get access to the finish line. I get a special helper who brings me the medal and videos me putting it on Royce . He looks buggered and a bit shaky and the medic comes and checks on him Lucky I've seen it before . He's ok after a while.why do they do this? The medal is huge! It is such a wonderful achievement . Royce says "swim was good , ride was hard but doable, felt good off ...

... up dinner the fire alarm in the hotel went off. Everybody was evacuated for about 10 minutes. Turns out someone was burning their steak.

Nicole has just gone to bed. It is about 8.15pm. We will head off to bed by about 10.00pm. Big day tomorrow! This is why we are here!! Hopefully tomorrow works out for Nicole.

Footy results were pretty mixed in Melbourne. Would have preferred Essendon to have won but good to see Sydney Swans are still in the mix.
