... at a church in another village to see the hand carved headstones in the graveyard. Each individual has a wooden plaque with his hobbies carved on one side and his/her profession on the other. The workmanship is remarkable with pictures of the deceased in frames. Not something that would withstand the elements in Florida. Another stop brought us by a towering waterfall as we headed to our craft place. There we all learned about their art of cutting ...

Driving into Switzerland was amazing. It was exactly how I imagined. Steep sloped roofs, brightly coloured window flower boxes and just generally green and pristine. The hostel was definitely in the most beautiful location compared to all the other stops. The lady there even gave Nick and I a free upgrade for the 3 night we were there. After a while of hiding underneath a cliff, it let up enough for us to make our escape to our home for the night. Can't really complain either considering how fantastic the weather has been throughout our trip so far... The next day, we got up early with plans to take the cable car from Schynige ...

... t remember what it was until I saw it. It is a magnificent location. From our bedroom window we can step out onto a wooden deck and have a view of the waterfall and the valley. The Staubbach Falls have a drop of about 300 metres. They are named that because staub means dust and bach means stream. Apparently, when there is a breeze, the falls can look like dust. They were also an inspiration for Goethe who wrote a poem about them. We look out onto a sheer rock wall on the right, ...
