... very similar to hot summer days in Australia. We had one short stop in the morning before continuing driving until lunch time. For lunch we were at a self-service restaurant. These involve picking up a tray, collecting and entre and desert if desired and letting a person know behind a hot food counter what meal you want. You then take your tray to the register and they add up everything on your tray. After lunch we were back on the bus again. The French countryside was quiet similar ...

Today we are leaving for Switzerland. We are crossing the border and it will take about 7 hours to get there by car. We went through tunnels that were 10 and 17kms long. When we arrived we went up 71 stairs to our third floor apartment. The view was amazing, we could see the top of Mt. Titlis. The apartment was so beautiful. We got used to the different style of things quickly that night.

While we were sitting outside in her garden a little later on, she gave us some more food! This time she went over to the flower bed and grabbed a handful of chives which she chopped up small. After coming from Eastern Europe it seemed surprisingly warm when I stepped of the plane in Belgium. Brussels wasn't the greatest city on earth so I had a beer, ate some waffles, ate some chocolate and then got the hell out.
