Our Snowy Winter Wonderland Adventure

A travel blog entry by ckwalt

... It was the best 10 frank that we've spent on the trip thus far as they continually paid themselves off during the day. It was finally time to head up the mountain. The whole tour group had a buzz with the thought of going up the 3020 metres above sea level. The trip up in the cable car was picturesque what was especially appealing was looking down upon the mountains and seeing the animal tracks headed in all different directions. We go up to the old wall and defensive tour – the building that marks the way is dated 1689. A steep climb both up the ...

To the Heart of the Swiss Alps

... just a few houses past our location and huge, tall mountains surrounding us. No other tourists. It is run by a friendly couple who do everything from cooking to cleaning and everything in between. The rooms are small, upstairs with shared bathrooms. Our group takes up about 90% of hotel. I think it might be my favourite hotel of the trip so far. Not much to do the first day but we had an extra special dinner. The owner ...
