Today we decided to take a day trip over the Switzerland. The mountains were calling me shall we say. It ended up being a 350km round trip with our little side steps along the way. We thought that it would be an open boarder into Switzerland like the one near Tirano, boy were we wrong! ... wonderful mountains against a clear blue sky. Alan took 104 photographs in about 3 hours!
Tuesday was also clear, so we drove to Chamonix, which is also at the base of Mont Blanc, for a view from another angle. We planned to take a telecabine up to Aillguille du Midii, the next door peak, but the web-cam showed it was too cloudy at the top to make it worthwhile, so we had lunch instead!

Day 7 was one of the most memorable days of the trip. We drove to the city of Chamonix and took a couple of Gondolas up to the top of Mont Blanc for some incredible views. As we approached the peak of the mountain, everyone began to notice the altitude and how it effected us. Pretty much everyone got lightheaded.
