... hours we had a baguette, then walked 1hr down the mountain back to camp. In the afternoon we went to Chamonix and booked a guided tour for some hiking and mixed climbing up at Aiguille du Midi tomorrow morning. So excited!! ... wonderful mountains against a clear blue sky. Alan took 104 photographs in about 3 hours!
Tuesday was also clear, so we drove to Chamonix, which is also at the base of Mont Blanc, for a view from another angle. We planned to take a telecabine up to Aillguille du Midii, the next door peak, but the web-cam showed it was too cloudy at the top to make it worthwhile, so we had lunch instead!

... with only about 3 hours driving..lol Farewell France..again. I can't say I will miss the scenery since leaving 'Chambury'. Majority of the drive had been long roads starting with vast areas of vineyards followed by vast areas of farm land with few dotted villages. I would like to say I'll be back again one day and not just for the arriving in and out of Calais.
