      ... to a spectacular day of fine weather and views. Phil wandered a little further to the top to views over the other ranges. After a bit of a wander around and a few pictures we ventured back down to the lower level where there was a BBQ, an outdoor bar and lots of people taking in the fine conditions on outdoor tables and deck chairs.       ... Our first stop for coffee and cake was at a little town called Lofer. As we were having our drinks we looked out the window and noticed a small chair lift in operation and some skiers nearby. We decided that as it was just there we should see whether it would be possible to take the chairlift up the mountain and enjoy the snow- even if it was for Sophie to throw a few snowballs and be a snow fairy.

      A very sad day

      We woke up this morning to the news that our very dear friend Mark Hatt passed away yesterday afternoon, after a long battle with lung cancer. The world has lost a very, very good man, and our hearts go out to his wife, our dear friend Jennifer Alsop, his children, Alex, one of Elizabeth's best friends, and three year old Ben, and all of his family and friends.
