... sign we found at one junction. We never saw a monkey or another hiker after the teahouse. Since beginning the initial descent, the trail was fairly steep in areas and stairs had replaced some sections of the highway. Between the terrain and the additional weight on my back, my knees and back were starting to feel the strain. ... me. For breakfast the next morning, second verse, same as the first. More of the same. Grilled fish, orange slices, more rice and sweet egg bake. Kawaguchiko, near that big bridge separating the lake, as seen in one of the pictures. For a hoot, I decided to check out the one of the local museums that ...

Today at breakfast we were seated at the other side of the room where the printed placements reflected the names of the towers we could view. Yesterday's placements depicted that view and we pity the poor trainee who might muck the placemats up! After receiving such attention to her personal meal requirements, they must have been happy to wave Naomi off. Just as well we still had Kaoru (our guide) to help us navigate our way to Shinjuku station, though the unforgiving ticket gates ...
