      ... market, but we only had one night there, barely enough time to enjoy the atmosphere. Compared to other markets and such, we found shopping was better in Innsbruck compared to Munich. Swarovski crystal originated here and so that was also a big shopping draw. Their most recent orb for Christmas is exquisite!

      ... than the tunnels the trip was uneventful til we got to Innsbruck. The Altstadt (old town) christmasmarket had started on the weekend. Our hotel was on the christmasmarket street. After a couple of misses and drive bys we finally pulled into the market, found the hotel and the receptionist told John where the parking was and that he needed to do a U turn and get off the street right away! The car is parked until we leave on Thursday.

      the scenery. Just where they got the idea that the Alps would be getting loads
      of snow this week i do not know as there was next to no snow to be seen the

      ... wonderful! It was exactly what we needed and it ended up being a better deal than we even thought when we booked it. Because this area is a popular ski destination in the winter and a hiking area in the summer, the hotel did it’s best to be a one stop shop for everything so that you could focus on the activities you were there to enjoy.
