All aboard and we are soon on our way to Winteregg which is set at 1578m above Lauterbrunnen. Looking across the mountains we can see our hotel in the cliff edge town of Wengen. From here it looks tiny.

We also woke with a little bit of a hangover as our first night at the campsite turned into a bit of a party. (Perhaps we can blame altitude?!) There was various places to visit but I decided to splash out on an ...

... bags and made our way to the base of Stubbach Falls, just one of the many waterfalls pouring down the walls of the valley. Our walking sticks got one last work out to help us up the hill path, then inside the damp and twisty rock face. From behind the waterfall we had a misty view of town.

On our way back down to Lauterbrunnen we met a lovely elderly couple from Zurich who were excited that we would be ...
