          ... Between - Lakes and the region is situated between the Thun (Toon) and Brienz Lakes. The water is alpine blue and fed from the surrounding glacial snow-melt. Absolutely pristine. The view from our bedroom was unbelievable. Rolling green fields were dotted with grand Swiss wooden cottages (that looked like cuckoo clocks) and flanked by snow-capped mountains…I think I prefer the rubbish and stink of Bangkok. Ha-ha

The town or village itself was once again a bit of a surprise, being autumn we are in between the hiking and ski seasons and it seems that when this is the case the village becomes a bit of a ghost town.A couple of snowballs and some wandering later we did find a restaurant that was open and grabbed a couple of local beers to enjoy the view.           ... it down in one piece and it was awesome fun. Best bit was they pulled us back up the mountain backwards so we could admire the view. We were under the clouds at this stage so the view was decent. We got back on the cable car and went down to the next stop for lunch.
