... sensational. Snow capped views for as far as the eye could see and a great introduction to the alps of Europe. We did get lost up in the snow but eventually worked out that the road we needed to take back to Valle Felicita was closed so we had to retreat the way we entered. Lunch in a great local Osteria, family run (3 generations working that day), serving great goulash!

Dolomites to Paris

... fries(fancy style) and Ash had spaghetti bolognaise. The dishes were expensive, mine costing about $30 and Ash's costing $25 but what shocked us even more was the €6 each bottle of coke we had with it. That's $18 for two bottle of coke! We got to a better gradient and although she was knackered we kept going to the next chairlift. We took that up and there was another steep part. I was starting to regret taking this route as I know Ash would be hating it about now, if she wasn't already. On the other hand, I wasn't sure the other options were any better ...

Venice to the Dolomites

... this first before doing the bog laps! Anyway I went across and noticed that they were closed until 5pm. The exact time our bus to the accommodation was supposed to leave. I had also read online that taxis here were really expensive but it was looking like we weren't going to have much choice to get to our accommodation except by a taxi. 5pm rolled around and we ducked into the ski office thinking it would be a case ...
