... we are fortunate to find Ristorante Bar Peter that has stayed open. It is thronged with motorcyclists sheltering from the hail. The lunch there is surprisingly good, and we are impressed with a Serbian waitress who speaks five languages fluently, including Spanish. She tells us that she is engaged to a Spaniard from the Canary Islands and will be be going to live there this summer.

We get through a relaxed lunch. Perhaps too relaxed, as we realise that we don’t have time ...

Today's tour was to Bolzano, close to the Austrian border. We arrived there late in the morning, stopping for a quick espresso at a truck stop - it's hard to get used to doing things the Italian Way when you have to pay for what you want first, then go and join the queue to get served! ... what they claim to have the "the best garden in the world" . Claims aside, it was very good, and unusually, quite catholic in that every sign in the place ( and there were thousands of them) was in German, Italian and English, and occasionally a couple of other languages that I didn't understand.
A bit tired after tramping around this place for hours so we headed back to camp only to find that someone had pinched our spot.... ...

... train. In all fairness, the town is known for its opera and other shows played in the colosseum, we just did not see that. This is the only city that we had problems on train timing, correct tracks, and communicating. Time is running out so this is the last tourist stop - maybe we are having lapses in attention.
