Landed around 6am, we just sat around at the airport for an hour filling in time before going to the hotel and of course the room wasn't ready but we could freshen up and leave our bags. Thursday was Swiss National day, and we went to a nearby city to be part of the celebration. When we were there I met a group of kids that "Loved me" according to one of the seven year olds. The seven year old boy wanted to marry me, it was really funny! Bye for now!-Abby

Today we stopped to look at the Heidelberg Castle which is up on a hill overlooking the town it is being restored. Continued via Strasbourg to Giswil where we stayed in these lovely chalets set in the mountains the view was spectacular like something out of a movie. ... lifts to the even higher viewpoint at the Sphinx tower. As if being up at 3454m was not high enough the Sphinx tower is a staggering 3571m above sea level.

It’s into the glass lift and one can see these lift shafts have been cut right up through solid rock!! How in the world did they ever manage all this so high up on this narrow peak?? It’s just mind blowing.
