... essential at roof level out of a window was quite impressive. Then the pouring rain relieved us of the sweltering heat wave that followed us through 3 countries. Hurray! In the morning we were up and on a bus by 0730 heading to Neuschwanstein's Castle. From the town we hiked 30 minutes up to the castle and then hiked to Marienbruke Bridge behind the castle. ... perched on a high forested hill overlooking the entire area. It was a jaw dropping view and was everything we had seen while using Google to plan our trip. The Castle itself is spectacular and it was difficult to not take aimless photos so we parked the bike and paid our two euro parking fee as indicated to us by a rather stern looking attendant who used his two fingers to indicate the amount required. At least I hope that was what he was doing unless ...

    Welcome to Austria

We left Italy on Friday and travelled across the Brenner Pass in to Austria. Leutasch is just north of Innsbruck and not far from the German border. Leutasch is beautiful. It is a valley at about 1000 metres altitude with pretty little villages dotted between meadows. Towering ...
