We left the hotel around 10:00 after having a nice buffet breakfast. We had a very curvy drive this morning on steep, narrow Alpine roads. But once again it was beautiful. We drove to the town of Betten and took a cable car and then a gondola up to the top of Bettmerhorn. The weather today has been nice, but there are more clouds. This view wasn't …

We bought tickets to have a tour of the chocolate and this ticket included a voucher for $8 worth of chocolate in the store. We went down into a basement and learned about how the different types of chocolate were made, and made some chocolates of our ...

... I caught a cab to my hotel to check in. It was early and I was only in Switzerland for two days so I wanted to make the most of it. Next I caught a train to Lucerne to spend the rest of the day there. I had heard Lucerne was a very beautiful place and it was so true. Sitting on the edge of the Lake of the Lucerne and full of old architecture made it very picturesque indeed. I sampled some of the local foods, walked all over ...
