We left the hotel around 10:00 after having a nice buffet breakfast. We had a very curvy drive this morning on steep, narrow Alpine roads. But once again it was beautiful. We drove to the town of Betten and took a cable car and then a gondola up to the top of Bettmerhorn. The weather today has been nice, but there are more clouds. This view wasn't …

We had time to duck into the supermarket and stock up on some snacks for the next few days which was good to get some fruit which you don't get a lot of when travelling around. ... tomorrow (Wednesday) so I’ll have to find somewhere else for dinner. She suggested Hotel Silberhorn or the local Campsite, which is apparently a 10-minute or so walk from the Hotel. I found it odd that a campsite would have a restaurant, but I might try it to see what it’s like.

It really feels that this part of my trip is passing by more quickly than the first part. It’s hard to believe that only a short week from today, I’ll be on ...

... Australians and huge steins of beer. 99percent of the people were local but I managed to sit at the only table with some English people who live in Wengen for a few months each year. I thought the night was going to be a couple of hours of entertainment. How wrong I was it apparently was to go to 2am with groups from the region showing their stuff and telling dirty jokes(so I am told as they were in swiss german), interval of bratwurst and beer ...
