... the trees were an amazing green. Not to mention the picturesque mountains creating an amazing backdrop.

After finding our hostel we went to explore some of the town, like in Zurich, mid-afternoon a light fog came in, not so much to obscure the amazing mountains or to block the sun but the blue skies just weren't as vibrant as the morning. First stop was the local swimming pool, although it was only warm enough for a quick dip, the scenery was amazing and a perfect location ...

... really made for Larz. As we were keen to avoid the expensive Swiss toll roads, we really were pushing our luck, but we survived the journey, passing plentiful green pastures, a lot of cows, and the odd spot of snow on the mountains that makes Switzerland famous.

We arrived in Interlaken amid a drizzly day, found a park and set of in the direction of the pub. Having worked out the kick-off time to be at 4pm ...

The two main items we wished to do while here, was to visit a limestone cave, ...

... someone he met couchsurfing (crazy right?) and they used the hostel bar as a place for dinner and drinks. A group of about 50 Swiss people came in with ridiculous costumes and continued to drink for about 5 hours while singing to Schlagermusic (which I mention in an erlier post). Firstly, I had no idea they loved schlager in Switzerland. Secondly, Swiss german is not the same as german. ...

... superior suite. It was a rather large suite with 2 nice bathrooms, a bedroom and a large living area. The suite was on the top floor with a large balcony, and the view from the balcony was incredible. The suite was in the corner of the building and had amazing views on 3 sides.
    - After wandering around the small, quaint (and car-less) village of Murren, we headed back to our hotel for a very nice dinner on the terrace.
