We left the hotel around 10:00 after having a nice buffet breakfast. We had a very curvy drive this morning on steep, narrow Alpine roads. But once again it was beautiful. ... Then we headed down through the village which was very pretty with lots of flowers and nice houses that are all in the Swiss chalet vibe. We had time to duck into the supermarket and stock up on some snacks for the next few days which was good to get some fruit which you don't get a lot of when travelling around. At any rate, I opt to sit in the lobby with the wifi, and learn that sadly there doesn't seem to be anywhere in Germany I can buy GF soft pretzels. ... Australians and huge steins of beer. 99percent of the people were local but I managed to sit at the only table with some English people who live in Wengen for a few months each year.
