We left the hotel around 10:00 after having a nice buffet breakfast. We had a very curvy drive this morning on steep, narrow Alpine roads. But once again it was beautiful. We drove to the town of Betten and took a cable car and then a gondola up to the top of Bettmerhorn. The weather today has been nice, but there are more clouds. This view wasn't …
... really made for Larz. As we were keen to avoid the expensive Swiss toll roads, we really were pushing our luck, but we survived the journey, passing plentiful green pastures, a lot of cows, and the odd spot of snow on the mountains that makes Switzerland famous.

... Alps looming along the long winding path. Lastly it was 1 more cable car to return to Interlaken.
Interlaken and the surrounding mountains have much to offer for everyone. If your friends are headed up to ski or board, you can go up with admire the view and make your way down. There are a number of trails to hike, maybe next time I will be adventurous enough to hike up to the Schilthorn =)
