... hear a couple of Aussie accents from girls who looked about 17 and I thought oh god here we go! Contiki is known for having young groups but I was not excited about possibly spending a week with a group of 18 year olds. We got a taxi together to the contiki accommodation where we met the tour manager and some of the group who had signed up for the 2 week option. We were able to check in before the coach from London arrived so got first pick ...

After finding a spot in the beer hall, we browsed the "food court" and got some gouda and crackers. Having walked all day, the crackers and cheese were also the best we had ever had. ... to the hostel before I got up the courage to head back into Old Town. There, Joey and I decided to check out Mozart's birthplace. It was interesting to read about a man, who, until today, all I knew about him was his music I heard played. As I went through the museum I could not help but pity his father and sister, both talented musicians who were overshadowed by Wolfgang Amadeus. Probably my favorite part of the museum was reading about ...

... We immediately took it upon ourselves to explore the area, finding that we are a 2 minute walk from the Hohensalzburg Castle, where one can see most of the city. It was a breathtaking view from a most unexpected gem. We ran around the Marketendersch÷▀l (our new temporary home) to get a feel of the layout. The bottom floor (considered to be floor "0" here because Europeans are weird) is where our Mensa (dining room) is, as well as the Winter Garden, where we meet for ...
