... he tells us to get up and get ready for bus.... i explain it does not take 3 and a half hours to get ready... he starts pointing his finger at me to leave hotel for bus .... i grab his finger and very angrily tell not to dare knock on my door again... instead we ask the Israelis next door to wake us up at 4am.
Getting a little worried as I am normally so calm and laid back but these Central American capitals are bringing out the worst in me....
... them had a van waiting. I assumed that it was owned by one of them. Because of the hour and how much more we would have to walk, we opted to take a ride with them to Masaya. That was also where the arts coordinators were headed, so it was a good plan.About 3 minutes after we got in the bus, about 12 police swarmed the park and arrested a few of local people that were already pretty intoxicated. It was definitely something to see, since they were more than violent with them. They ...
Managua, Nicaragua speare... rubber trees, Howler monkeys, Parakeets, Owls, snakes (in jars) and lots of strange trees. There was a canyon with steep walls where the Parakeets lived and there was a waterfall there too. After this park we returned to Masaya for the night tour. All of the park staff and guides that helped us that day were really nice. The next day we headed back to Costa Rica. We drove from the border to Lake Arenal, we drove a long way around the ...

neighbourhood of Granada, Nicaragua hilde... does not work in the remainder of the country, that I can tell. This lack of respect for their country , and it's appearance, has definitely damaged my impressions here. [Remember, that I ended my career, picking up trash all over Seattle!] Maybe Charlie Scott and I should team up and set them straight! In Panama , this was not a problem. Here they need to start with a notional campaign to educate, and change attitudes. There are so many film plastic bags here ...
Managua, Nicaragua thomasgillam...
We took a flight to the Corn Islands from Managua. This is a picture of the biggest boarding pass I´ve ever ...

We left our home church at 8:30 am. We drove a van down to Columbia, SC. When the plane took off, there was a lightning storm, but when we got above the clouds. Then, it was sunny and beautiful like Heaven. My daughter loved the take off. She said it was like an amusement park ride.
We landed safe in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. We had a six hour layover. We ate at the Chili's restaurant in the next ...
