    ... lost some time we decided to take the short route which would save us about 5km. Down the road we found a little coffee stop right next to the cycle trail. Later we stopped again for lunch under some trees in a picnic area. The day was starting to warm up considerably.     ... to mention the Dolomites reputation for August rain. Only a few short minutes into finding a campsite it started to drizzle and although there were a few short breaks it didn't really stop for 48 hours. However, we made the best of it! Armed with some white ponchos (thanks Sue!) we ventured out into Dimarco the local alpine town.     ... to be looking forward to a few easy days away from the cars before we start the journey back towards England on Monday. Before the worst of the day's heat arrives there are running repairs on several of our cars in the hotel car park. Our car seems to be travelling well and, apart from re-installing the crash handle that had been pulled out by the navigator on yesterday's climb, only routine servicing required. A very relaxing and much needed break from the cars.

They laughed when I asked them if they were certain they weren't poisonous. Davide continued to explain to me that we're in Italy and there is hardly anything dangerous here.
