Today we spent the day sailing down the coast of Mexico. From our map, we are off the coast of Acapulco. No port stops today as we are heading to Guatamala, which takes two nights and two days sailing to arrive. The waters are very calm and the sailing very smooth. We are both very relaxed and Johnny is enjoying the variety of foods on board.
I was expecting Acapulco to be overrun by Americans but apparently the resort had bad press a few years ago so the Americans and Canadians now head to Cancun and Playa Del Carmen. ... buildings are taller, the sounds are louder and the lights are brighter. It's definitely a party town at night and during the day it's relax time.
Did some laundry in the sink then went back to the Pescador for beer and la comida. About half an hour in mariachis started playing in an attempt to drown out the loud salsa music playing by the pool. Very good stuff. The bartender was even serving drinks in those big coconut half-shelves. Not the brown shells but the outside ...
