      ... a castle fortress overlooks a wide beach. We explored a bit, ate a bit, and rode home along the coastal route enjoying beautiful views of the ocean all along the ride.       ... were no swimmers and no sunbathers, just people strolling. Craig had been wanting to have a wee for sometime and found a place behind a sand dune but heard voices and stopped. We could not find a public toilet that was open so stopped at a cafe/bar to buy a drink to use the loo. It was about 5pm by now and we decided to stay the night. We used the cafe wifi to search for accommodation but ended up driving around trying to find a place that was open. ...

      Day 19 - Tuesday, 23rd September, 2014

      Happy Birthday to Gilly for today.

      After breakfast and a torrid nights sleep due to Gilly's very abnormal snoring, we drove the couple of miles to the French Foreign Legion Museum. It was closed!! It only opens Wednesday to Sunday. Not a good start to the day.

      ... star hotel with our name on it. We pulled into the carpark of La Grande Cordée in complete darkness having rode for about 9 hours today and covered some 200 hard mountain miles.
