After an uneventful drive, we arrived in Bressanone(Brixen) in the evening, just in time for some home cooked food prepared by friends, followed by a game of cards played with an interesting deck of cards. Hoping for better weather we went to bed with the aim of reaching Belgrade the following ...

... to arrive some other lady couldn't carry her tray and suitcase so I carried her tray for her to her table. Again she was thankful. I'm hoping after the few good deeds for the day my karma has leveled out. We caught the flight to Paris and checked into our hotel, the Mercure. It was very fancy. Today was our first day on the slopes. We had breakfast and went downstairs to the ski hire shop below the reception of the hotel. They had said in an email that they had clothes for hire but when we got there it was extremely limited. There were two big one piece snow suits, some massive snow pants, a few extra large jackets and that was about it. They also looked like they had come out of the 90s. I was sure it was just lost property that ...

      Venice to the Dolomites

A travel blog entry by jtate on Jan 18, 2015

... took a good 30minutes to arrive! Eventually we got our ski passes and jumped in a taxi to our hotel. We were wondering just how much it was going to cost! I was hoping less that €50! Luckily it only came to €25 so I was pretty happy about that and the taxi driver was great, telling us all about the area. The hotel was lovely, a huge spacious room and a fantastic view of the mountains. What more could you ...
