Surprisingly hard day. 19 miles is about average and I thought it would be just down the valley. But the route kept going up the side of the valley, then along for half a mile or so before dropping back down. As compensation there was not a cloud all day. Temperature probably about 24 degrees so would have been really pleasant to just stroll along a flat route. Anyway I made it to a campsite only to find it just opened at weekends in September.
