Cenotes diving
... about. This was due to an accident some months earlier when a guy (a free-diver) tried to cross from one 'eye' to the other (they are connected through a tunnel of 30m, plus you see the way clearly from one end to the other). Sadly he went up too fast and hit his head by swimming up to the air bubble half way through, he lost consciousness and drowned. Well that's the background story. Nonetheless, we had fun diving and playing with the fishes all around ...
Pacific beach resort
... sleep, we had lunch and then headed straight to the beach for a swim. Returning to the hostel, we showered, caught up with the pod, watched an episode of Merlin and then had dinner. We then packed ready for our night bus and relaxed the rest of the time chatting to a couple from London. At 11pm, we loaded up and walked to the bus station then got straight on our waiting bus. We then settled in and tried to get some sleep until we had to get up at the border.

Hotel Zone
... landscaping, perfect side walks and the like. At this point I was actually missing the friendly setting of the hostel in downtown Cancun; however, the hotel zone is much closer to the turquoise waters of the Caribbean Sea and Golf of Mexico and the white sand beaches.

Cozumel
... happily get on a scooter wearing sandals, shorts a vest top and wear a helmet that would probably do more harm than good if I came off? This is the second time I've done that, and I don't even think twice about it. I say all this, yet I know when I get back to England I'll be frowning at ever scooter rider I see wearing shorts or not wearing decent shoes.
Anyway, must run. A group of Americans have just entered the internet ...
