Travel Blogs from Skiathos
... a tourist destination. When we got to Chorto we kind of missed the road down to the waterfront and with nowhere to park we had passed through before we realised (coming back through on our way home I worked out where we should have turned but honestly it looked more like a walkway than a road so it's no wonder we missed it) so continued on to Milina where we drove down to the beach and went for a walk on the sand... there was actually a coarse sand here, not like Vasiliki on ...
... and onto Kala Nera where we decided to stop for a coffee and loo break... the clouds were looking quite menacing and we were sure the heavens were going to open on us at any minute which made us all the more reluctant to venture up into the mountains on those windy roads. You reach the kiosk, turn right and then follow a narrow path downhill to get to the village of Lambinou.
Continue downhill on kalderimi to Lambidona monastery and end up at Lambinou beach.
It is an amazing 3.50 minute walk.
This is a provisional route containing several detours because there are times when sections of the original path remain blocked by vegetation.
