13.11.14 Cefalu Sicily to Cosenza Calabria Left our lovely Hotel this morning to Messina and to the Ferry. Jenny counted 62 tunnels in 140 Kilometres some over 2 Kilometres long, we spent more time underground than above ground. ... hugged me and kissed me and Louise also. He kept saying how fortunate he was to have us there. I think my Zia Maria is starting to dread saying goodbye. She held on to me pretty tight tonight. Tomorrow will be difficult as we will have to leave behind renewed ties (that were already strong to begin with) and bear my aunt's tears, of which there will be many. We have created many new memories that will carry us until next time around. I guess I just have to be happy with ...

... flavoured gelato, and then proceeded to crack the white ball by tapping it sharply with a spoon. It "exploded" with a loud pop and created a smoky dry ice effect. The kids at the table behind us were squealing with delight! It tasted like a frozen egg white meringue of some sort but the best thing about it was the visual effect!! They also kept bringing trays of bread that consisted of red onion crispy thin breadsticks, spicy salami rolls, some whole grain raisin buns, ...
